Bag2Gate Terms of Service
Last updated: September 24, 2026
These Terms apply to bookings made through bag2gate.com. Bag2Gate is a brand operated by CofJC Inc. By placing a booking, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service
Bag2Gate accepts luggage at its Osaka hub for temporary storage and arranges delivery to Kansai International Airport (KIX) using Yamato Transport’s Airport TA-Q-BIN service. Delivery to any destination other than KIX is not offered. You arrange and pay for delivery from your hotel or other location to our Osaka hub. Shipments to us must be prepaid; cash-on-delivery shipments are not accepted.
For the KIX shipment, Bag2Gate submits the shipping request using the customer and flight details supplied in the booking. Yamato’s applicable carriage terms and acceptance requirements apply. We will provide collection instructions for the shipment. Airport collection is subject to Yamato’s requirements, including any documents Yamato requires you to present.
2. Booking and customer information
You must provide accurate name, contact, flight and luggage information and follow the address and labeling instructions sent after booking. You must submit your shipment tracking number through the Bag2Gate shipment report form after sending your luggage to us. Bag2Gate is not responsible for delay or misdelivery caused by inaccurate or missing information or by the carrier you selected to ship luggage to our hub.
3. Prices, size and weight
Prices are charged in US dollars (USD). The Standard plan is USD 49 per item and the Large plan is USD 69 per item. Each plan’s size and weight limits are shown on the applicable product page. Luggage exceeding the plan booked may be charged the USD 20 price difference per item. We accept luggage only within Yamato’s applicable Airport TA-Q-BIN limits, currently no more than 200 cm total dimensions and 30 kg per item.
4. Storage period and extensions
Day 1 is the date your luggage is received at our Osaka hub, Japan Standard Time. The day we hand it to Yamato for delivery to KIX is included in the count. Days 1–5 are included in the plan price. Days 6–14 are charged at USD 9 per item per day. The standard maximum service period is 14 days.
If you need more than five days, you may purchase the required extension days at checkout when that option is available. If the actual storage period exceeds what you paid for, additional days must be paid separately. We will not hand your luggage to Yamato until all due fees have been paid.
If luggage remains at our hub after Day 14, separate extended storage may be provided for Days 15–30 at USD 20 per item per day. The total holding period is limited to 30 days, counting the arrival date as Day 1. We will send notices on Day 10 and Day 13 using the contact details provided.
5. Arrival deadline and KIX shipment
Your luggage must arrive at our Osaka hub by 12:00 noon Japan Standard Time, two calendar days before your flight. We arrange shipment to KIX on that date, subject to Yamato’s acceptance and the applicable dispatch cutoff. If your luggage arrives after the deadline or cannot be accepted for timely delivery, we may be unable to deliver it to KIX before your flight. In that case, the plan price is non-refundable and we may arrange return delivery to the hotel address you supplied, at your expense.
After luggage has been handed to Yamato, changes to the destination or delivery date may not be possible. If your flight is changed, delayed or cancelled, contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee changes after dispatch.
6. Uncollected luggage
If luggage has not been collected by the end of Day 30, we may dispose of it or otherwise handle it appropriately. You agree to pay reasonable, documented costs actually incurred for disposal or handling. Any storage and disposal arrangements are subject to applicable law.
7. Prohibited items and inspection
You must not send cash, payment cards, passports or travel documents, jewelry or other valuables, perishable goods, hazardous or illegal items, animals, plants, or anything Yamato does not accept. We may inspect luggage when reasonably necessary to check compliance or protect safety. We may refuse, return or dispose of prohibited items at your expense, subject to applicable law.
8. Liability
For loss of or damage to luggage while in our custody, our liability is limited to USD 200 per item, except to the extent a limitation is not permitted by applicable law or the loss or damage results from our willful misconduct or gross negligence. This limit is based on the item, not its contents’ actual value. We recommend separate travel insurance for higher-value belongings. For the carriage performed by Yamato, claims are subject to Yamato’s applicable terms and procedures.
To the extent permitted by law, Bag2Gate is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights or additional travel expenses, or ordinary scuffs and wear. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel without charge until 23:59 Japan Standard Time on the day before you send your luggage to our hub. Once you have sent your luggage, the booking is non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or Bag2Gate is unable to provide the booked service for a reason within our control. See our Refund Policy.
10. Personal information
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Osaka District Court as the court of first instance, to the extent permitted by law. These Terms are written in English. If a translation differs, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
